I am an Open University graduate having completed an BA(Hons) degree. I chose my own programme of study which consisted of French,English Language Studies with GCSE/Standard grade Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. After my degree, I undertook an A-level/Higher Grade Maths course and GCSE/Standard Grade level Latin course to keep my study skills fresh and updated whilst complimenting my degree.

Learning a foreign language is a process that implies some mimicking, language awareness, practice on comprehension, expression and also creativity. Some studies claim that the way we store languages in our brains is similar to that of data storing in a computer, but, of course, much more human, organic and alive. Languages have different components that need to be acquired and "stored" so that we can start feeling confident and creative in using them.

On the other hand, languages are a set of sounds, words (vocabulary), rules (grammar), expressions and even non-verbal language that are acquired both consciously and unconsciously. Conscious learning is a process in which I am extremely interested because it feels as if we are actually helping our minds to store the data so they can be available for us to use. I'm currently working at a 2:1 standard on an interdisciplinary degree at the University of Nottingham. This program allows me to weave a rich academic tapestry, blending sociology, politics, theology, and more.

From a young age I've held a deep love for learning, and I would be genuinely thrilled to facilitate it in others. On my uni course I have developed and delivered high-quality presentations and written many first-class essays. At college meanwhile, I ran the LGBT+ club at which I taught lessons and developed displays explaining the histories of marginalised groups. I am highly interested in social issues, spending time every day reading about current affairs, political theory and so on. I also love to watch films as well as read and write poetry. I am currently in the early stages of working on a novel. I enjoy practicing French. Although I haven't taught professionally, I endeavoured to make LGBT+ club educational when I ran it by teaching 'lessons' on LGBT+ history and issues. My intention is not simply to share my techniques but rather to use them as a springboard and get to know my students so that, together, we can figure out ways of studying that really work for them.

I know school can be tough- seriously, I've been there. My aim is not to dictate, but to guide, to help students understand their subject in a new light. I want to delve into the curriculum in a way that makes it click, that reframes how my students see it.
