I attended a TEFL course two years ago and am still improving those skills through an on-line course. I find this very easy and enjoyable as I come from the generation who were thoroughly taught correct English grammar and spelling.

I believe in a thorough method of learning languages - not the 'phrase-book style' fashionable for some years. As much speaking practice as possible is essential.

My 27,000 km, New Zealand to Scotland trip took 2 years to complete and was the best experience of my life so far. I am a qualified Spanish Teacher and native speaker with in-depth expertise in the Spanish language, grammar, and literature, and an immense range of vocabulary. I have a vast experience working with people from different backgrounds, cultures, and of different ages; and worked for the public and private sectors: schools, colleges, universities, language schools and companies. I have been a Spanish Teacher and an English Teacher since 2002, and have worked as a Secondary Spanish Teacher and as a Secondary French Teacher.
I have extensive expertise in linguistics, and expert knowledge of the English language, grammar and literature. I studied the Bachelor's (Hons) degree in English Language and English Literature, and French language and Italian language at university.
I have a wide range of skills: verbal and written communication skills; keen listener; empathetic; open-minded; respectful of people's personalities, needs and requirements; and excellent analytical skills.
Some of my achievements having worked as a teacher include:
- teaching English, Spanish and French to speakers of other languages;
- developing the students' abilities, skills, and self-confidence;
