GCSE's

Jack's mock results were an E in English Language as well as a D in literature and he wanted to do Economics A level which required a B grade in his final GCSE. Jack had two hours of tuition per week from January to May. He enjoyed going (this surprised me as he hated English before the sessions) and had a new found likeness for literacy. He received a B in both language and literature and can now do A level economics. Jack related very well to David- this made learning easier for Jack and he obtained the grades he needed. His teachers at school noticed a marked improvement in his work when he was having tuition.

Personal Description:
Hi, I'm Marya! I'm passionate about teaching English and Math and have been tutoring children for the past three years. I love helping students understand tricky concepts, build confidence, and achieve their goals. I believe learning should be engaging, interactive, and tailored to each student's needs. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy kickboxing, swimming, reading and cooking, which helps me bring energy and creativity into my lessons. I have been tutoring children in English and Maths for the past three years, and it's something I genuinely love. Tutoring Approach:
My lessons are interactive, supportive, and completely tailored to each student. I start by understanding your current level and goals then design a plan that fits you. For English, lessons usually combine reading, writing, and speaking practice, with a focus on building confidence and fluency. I also include exam techniques, past paper practice, and creative exercises to keep learning fun and effective. Whereas for maths my lessons combine practice with past papers, targeted revision techniques, and personalised feedback to strengthen weak areas. I aim to give students both the skills and confidence they need to achieve top grades in both subjects.

I adapt the pace and content to suit your needs. I believe learning should feel motivating, not overwhelming, so I make sure every session is engaging and encouraging
