I have over 10 years of experience teaching English, drama and study skills. My students include primary and secondary school students and adults. I can help you prepare for your exams, improve your writing skills (academic and creative), as well as your reading comprehension and analysis of novels, plays and poetry. I can assist in preparing for AS/ A Levels, GCSE and LAMDA examinations.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from McGill University (graduated with distinction) and I have a Liberal Arts Honours Degree. I am also a graduate of Studio 58's 3 years conservatoire program in professional acting.

10 years private tutoring experience in: English Language, English Literature, Essay Writing, Reading Analysis and Comprehension, Study Skills (primary and secondary students).

10 years private tutoring English as a Foreign Language for adults, Business English, IELTS Preparation, Accent Reduction, Job Interview Preparation.

12 year experience teaching drama to students ages 4 to 20 including: Scene Study, Monologue, Improvisation, Public Speaking, Acting Skills, Voice and Movement.

Tutoring Approach:
Tutoring is always tailored to the student. In our first lesson we'll discuss your goals (or your child's goals) and make a plan to build the skills needed to achieve those milestones. Lessons will be devoted to developing your abilities and skills as well as self reliance in study skills and a love for learning.

My lessons are fun, dynamic and students build a strong feeling of confidence and self esteem in the process.

I have been an English teacher for almost eight years. I have worked in a governmental secondary school in Turkey. But I also worked as a tutor in these years and I have provided tutoring for different range of ages like primary,secondary and also adults. I worked in private institutions as a teacher in Turkey as well. I have a bachelor degree in English Language Teaching from Dokuz Eylül University in Izmir, Turkey. I like meeting new people and learning about new cultures. That's why I did Erasmus Student Exchange programme and studied in Artevelde Hogeschool in Belgium. I like improving myself and gaining new experiences. Since I have worked with different levels of students with different backgrounds, I know how to adapt my teaching skills to my students' levels. One thing that I care about the most is to make sure that student can feel in a safe environment to learn. I try to build a healthy and positive relationship between us so that learning can happen. I care about student's level and for that reason, I convey skills assessment test to assess the student's level. I have over 2 years' experience tutoring a range of students from differing ages and backgrounds. I have a unique professional background living and working in London in Marketing, Publishing and TV Production. This has allowed me to bring a wealth of experience and personality to my teaching style.

I have been teaching English to non-native speakers of all ages and from various backgrounds for nearly 20 years now both at a language school and independently. My students have included university and hospital researches and other professionals, as well as young learners and teenagers.
