I am a graduate in Physics with Astrophysics, which was a four year degree, which included me living and learning in Italy. My degree was challenging yet enjoyable, and contained a lot of Maths, which to me was great! As a born communicator writing and teaching have always appealed, and having spent the last decade tutoring and working for the Institute of Physics, I can definitely say I enjoy it as much now as I did when I started.. I am currently a grade-one "outstanding" teacher in my present school, and have been delivering KS3, GCSE and A Level English, Maths and History in the secondary and sixth-form sectors for the past 16 years, in which time my results have far surpassed national pass rates. Moreover, due to these outstanding results and innovative teaching methods, I have served as Assistant Head of Department; helping us to be awarded an internal grade 1 "outstanding" rating for the 6 years in which I held the post. Furthermore, I also have extensive experience as an "Advanced Practitioner"-tasked with turning around failing cohorts in some of the UK's toughest classrooms, as well as my time as an examiner for a variety of GCSE/A Level exam boards.

Moreover, due to this long history of being a stand-out professional in the education sector, my advice has been sought out for occasional media and radio appearances for discussions on educational policy, whilst also being head-hunted to tutor the children of prominent public figures including Premiership footballers, Olympic athletes, luminaries of the business world, and even the family of a Nobel Prize winner for a month-which was awesome!

Hi, I'm Anna. I'm an author and a poet, I have had many poems published, won first prize in an international poetry competition (2011) and have also brought out two collections, which are on sale on Amazon. In 2015 I published my memoir A Hippopotamus at the Table. Set in South Africa in the 1970s. I'm about to publish my second memoir and published a book called Writing Memoir. A fixture in the London underground DJ community for over 10 years, I recently completed a BA in Music Production at BIMM London (1st degree honours awarded) whilst also holding a MLT in Teaching and Training.

I currently tutor at CM Sounds and Core Arts, both based in east London. Production projects have been varied and exciting with remixes and artist albums released on the original rave era label Kniteforce, and sync remix commissions for UMPG (Universal Music).

Teaching Experience:
On leaving Oxford University, I started out as a lecturer in French and English at Fareham College, Hampshire, where I taught Higher Education courses to both young and mature adults and was commended by the Principals for my students' achievements.
I used this initial experience to launch a successful career of private tutoring in England and France, with many students coming to me through personal recommendation.

Now, with over 20 years of teaching experience, I privately tutor a range of school-aged pupils from 6 to 16, both native English speakers and those for whom English is a second language. At 11+, 13+, GCSE and IGCSE, most of my pupils have successfully obtained places at top private secondary schools and 6th form colleges.

I also have a portfolio of private Chinese, Ukrainian, Russian, French and English adult students learning English as a foreign language, many of whom return year after year to pursue their learning to ever-higher levels and for the considerable pleasure that brings.

In my opinion the huge advantage of private one-to-one tuition, for both student and tutor, is that each lesson can be tailor-made to suit the student's particular needs perfectly, targeting and strengthening weaker areas while continuing to develop all-round confidence and ability. Lesson content can adapt flexibly from session to session and skills needing more attention can be frequently revisited.

My approach is caring and friendly, and I possess both endless patience and a sense of humour! I have obtained my Law Degree LLB (Hons) from Wolverhampton University. In addition, I have obtained a Certificate in Social Science from Brunel University West London. I completed the Bar Professional Training Course in Cyprus since 2012 and I am currently practising Law in Scotland as a European Union Lawyer. I have been working for one of the biggest international based law firms in Cyprus as a Senior Associate and Head of the Corporate Department.

In the interim while working as a lawyer, my thirst for knowledge and to better myself I studied Accounting and Book keeping - LCCI. I have completed the course with a Distinction grade in all of the levels (Elementary, Intermediate and Higher).

I can assure you that apart from my academic qualifications and eight years of experience as a lawyer, my interest in Law goes far beyond the material that I have been taught. I like exploring, being updated and learning new areas of law, cases and legislation.

Greek is my native language. Despite Cyprus being my country of origin, I have been living in the UK since 2007 and I am fluent in English.

I am a former Head of Geography, now working as a part-time Teacher and Tutor. I work with only a few students, in order to devote my time to providing excellent lessons with plenty of feedback and follow-up.

I formerly taught English as a Foreign Language, and have a Diploma in this area of teaching (DELTA), so can offer EFL to adults or children. This includes English conversation, pronunciation and help with proof-reading.

Students get on well with me and tell me that I am very enthusiastic, but also patient, allowing individuals to flourish. I have a talent for building confidence, explaining things clearly. And for those students who are aiming for the top grades, I am used to stretching my students.
