Hello. I am a fully qualified teacher with experience across the whole of the primary curriculum, including special needs and teaching for SATS tests . I continually update my teaching, mainly through the National Education Union online training sessions. Hi, I'm Anna. I'm an author and a poet, I have had many poems published, won first prize in an international poetry competition (2011) and have also brought out two collections, which are on sale on Amazon. In 2015 I published my memoir A Hippopotamus at the Table. Set in South Africa in the 1970s. I'm about to publish my second memoir and published a book called Writing Memoir. Throughout the years, I have made many resources and learnt different ways to effectively approach coursework and exams. I will make sure that my clients are thoroughly informed on the structure and marking requirements for each exam question. I will also provide a wide range of resources to my tutees. I will share my valuable knowledge, tips and tricks during the tutoring sessions; ensuring that all my students reach their own potentials.

Personal Description:
I am a Business English Tutor, with a Bachelor's degree in Economics for Business and Marketing. I have spent over 20 years in Corporate, especially in the banking area, where I have gained a lot of experience.
I have 15 years of teaching General English as well as different Business subjects, I am also a CELTA Cambridge teacher.

Teaching Experience:
I have taught over 1500 lessons, helping my students gain skills and confidence. I know the corporate environment very well, and I would be happy to share my knowledge with you. Thanks to my travels, I can adapt to any culture and adjust my lessons accordingly. I love talking to people and cannot wait to learn more about you. I teach General English, English for Business, Economics for Business, Accounting, Marketing, Principles of Management and Skills for Business.

Tutoring Approach:
My teaching style is primarily student centred, and I adapt my teaching style in order to cater for everyone and make the material as interesting as possible.
I like to use different books, exercises, colorful PowerPoint slides and even videos where possible to demonstrate my learning points. I believe this is something which increases student interest significantly, and from my experience, leads to a better learning experience overall.
I am highly effective at behavioural management, and focus on the three R's of RESPECT, RESPONSE and the RIGHT way to learn. These have served me well over time.
Finally, I have an approachable, inclusive style of teaching that is sufficiently flexible enough to cater for a diverse range of learning styles, needs and requirements.

I live in a small rural village with my family - i enjoy gardening, walking, playing games and hanging out with my cat.

Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching for over 10 years as a private tutor and giving language taster sessions at events.

I usually teach online but in-person is also an option!
