In our sessions I will help with essay structure, illustrate how to use higher order analytical and evaluation skills, and crucially, how to apply an answer to information in a case study, or how to bring in real world examples.

Over the years I have taught an increasing proportion of students online, so that currently about 90% of my tutoring is done this way. I use Skype/Google Meet/Zoom and Google Docs, which students can also access. I firmly believe that the majority of teachers and schools/colleges do their best to help their students. However, many students have weaknesses especially in their written work. To gain high grades students need to be able to analyse, apply and evaluate their knowledge but those skills are often not developed by their school or college. However, my experience and individually focused sessions can remedy this and as a result my students soon are making far better responses to essay questions, data response and case studies than before they started tuition. I am a Finance Manager with over 10 years' tutoring experience in Mathematics, Economics, English and 11+ curriculum. I have a BSc in Economics from the University of Warwick and an excellent academic record (9A*s at GCSE and A*AAA at A-Level).

I have strong academic and applied skills in Mathematics and Economics. I achieved an A* in Maths at GCSE, and A's in my Maths and Further Maths A-levels. I also achieved an A* in Economics A-Level. I am presently a master's student at Newcastle University, pursuing a master's in Applied Mathematics.
