I've been tutoring Maths, Science and English since 2007, for ages 5 to 50. However, I mostly help teenagers with their SATs, GCSEs and A Levels.

Maths, Science and English are the three main subjects that people tend to want tutoring in. (Actually it's five subjects if you break the Science down into Biology, Chemistry and Physics.)

Anyway, as I tutor all of these subjects, my students find it very useful that I can potentially cover a different subject each week, or I can do two hours a week and cover a different subject in each hour.

Since 2010, I have been tutoring in the academic subjects Maths and the individual Sciences; Biology, Chemistry & Physics.

I have taught at both primary- and secondary-school levels, with my students ranging between the ages of 6 and 16.

⭐ My philosophy is that if you are struggling with a particular subject or topic, it's not your fault and there's nothing wrong with you. It simply means you've not been taught in a way that makes sense to you (or you've not been given the time and attention to be taught properly - in a big class and with the pressures of working through an extensive curriculum).

Hello! My name is Gemma and I am a 32 year old doctor, chartered accountant, strategy consultant and successful start up founder. I graduated in medicine from Nottingham University in 2016, switched to finance, became a qualified chartered accountant, and now work for one of the 'Big4' in health advisory and strategic consulting. I have a post-Doc in Chemistry from University of Bristol. I am passionate to start my career as a private tutor. We can learn Chemistry in the easiest and effective way. I studied in different countries like Korea, Switzerland, UK and I know how to boost up different students and make them motivational to learn science.

Teaching Experience:
I have my experience from my Master in University and I love to be a private teacher. I also helped to the students in the university regarding editing their thesis and proof-reading. I also teach to undergraduate student for a while

Tutoring Approach:
I will no be a tutor. I and the students will be a team and we learn from each other. I will go to their weak-points and interest topics and that would be completely free.

I have 22 years teaching experience. I have BA and a BA (Hons) from the Open University. I have a MSc from Birkbeck College. have a PGCE from Anglia Polytechnic and I have membership of the Royal Society of Chemistry.

Teaching Experience:
I have 22 years teaching experience. I have taught Chemistry to GCSE, BTEC and GNVQ and A Level Chemistry to Year 12. I have also taught Biology to GCSE Level and Physics to KS3 Level. I have Primary experience in both KS1 and KS2.
I have a number of year tutoring experience for Chemistry and all my tutees have passed their GCSE.

I gained membership of the Royal Society of Chemistry and have undertaken volunteer work for them. I also volunteer in the Science Museum in South Kensington for the last 8 years and The University of Cambridge for the Cambridge Festival of Ideas and the University of Cambridge for the Cambridge Science Festival.

Tutoring Approach:
I have a number of year tutoring experience for Chemistry and all my tutees have passed their GCSE.

Lesson will consist of prepared notes which will be discussed during the tutoring sessions. There will be supported by use of worksheets and then exam style questions. Each lesson will be based on specific areas of the syllabus that is intended to support the work that is being undertaken in the classroom. This will follow the part of the syllabus being taught in the classroom, to support and re-inforce student learning.

I use videos to support learning and these will be showed used a laptop. I will use a projector (if it is possible). If the student wishes to only look at specific areas if the syllabus, then I will undertake to produce material to support this request.

Personal Description:
Current Secondary Science Teacher specialising in Physics and Biology, Master of Education from Cambridge University alongside PGCE and 14 year's experience both in the UK and abroad in both private and UK state schools.

I have held a variety of positions from Classroom Teacher up to Head of Department but with a young family I have stepped back from management for the time being. I teach at a local state school in North Tyneside.

Teaching Experience:
14 years teaching both in the UK along with 4 years teaching abroad. I am qualified to teach all sciences to GCSE and Physics and Biology to A-Level. I have worked with classes from 32 down to 1-2-1 tuition with significant value added to pupils from all levels of ability.

Tutoring Approach:
As different pupils learn in different ways I am happy to tailor my teaching style to fit the needs of the student. I work to ensure that there is understanding of the topic alongside just knowing the facts. I am up to date on current paedagogical research which I use to ensure that I am able to give the best to my students.
