Students will need to find a topic that inspires them and do some visual research on this and I would then help the students by teaching them a range of different techniques, learning how to draw in a number of media from pencil, chalk, oil pastel, pen and ink, biro and graphite and then teach them how to paint in gouache, acrylic, watercolour and use a mixed media approach. Textiles is also a medium I would offer students and basic construction techniques. Adobe photoshop skills is also important in developing photographic images as part of the development. Based on my volunteering experience I can introduce my self as an arts and craft tutor. I was an art scholar at school, and studied Illustration (BA Hons) in Cambridge. Design and craft have always been a part of my career, but I began drawing again a few years ago now, during the evenings after my daughter had gone to bed and I was immediately reminded of the therapeutic effects drawing and being creative can be, especially for a creative mind.

I posted a couple on Instagram and they were sold within minutes. Since then, I have had the most amazing commission requests for the inks and over the last year have been commissioned several times to draw women during their later stages of pregnancy - such an intimate time to commemorate, each one is incredibly special.
The nudes evoke different energies, feelings, emotions - celebrating all bodies, all curves, and all that a body can do and enjoy.

I am currently delivering mixed-media techniques, DTF Sublimation, any Textiles related products to all age groups and organisations. I am also in the process of setting up a Sip and Paint event, this can be a great way of team building for businesses, Hen Parties, Family Events, Couples and much more..

Teaching Experience:
Art-
Adults/Sixth Form/FE Colleges/Universities - one to one tutoring, group workshops.Portfolio preparation, drawing, painting, sketchbook work

Design-
Textiles, fashion design, illustration, visual communications, printmaking, art therapy with the use of colours, Moodboard Creation. Basic Sewing Skills.

Crafts
Mixed media, Mark Making, Sewing (how to make a small bag). Sublimation DTF Printing, T-shirt designs.

Tutoring Approach:
All lessons will involve practical sessions, to include drawing techniques, perspective and visual skills, along with demonstrations handouts (Recording visual drawings, research and ideas in a sketchbook, Annotations will also be encouraged in sketchbook work.

Depending on age groups, I will focus on how to achieve best results to prepare for exams, as well as for portfolio preparations.

Some materials will be provided by myself and by the learner, however, I will be able to suggest where and what materials to purchase.

Lessons will be tailored to the learners personal needs.
