I am a lecturer, assessor, mentor and trainer, having vast experience of teaching business-related subjects with a reputed university in the Northwest. I also deliver consultancy and research. For Businesses; I deliver, Project management, Lean and Agile Process Development and E-commerce Management Training. Teaching Experience:
Teaching experience of over 7 years in Higher Education, my students achieved extensive results and success rate by 100%. I am teaching and mentoring more than 50 students per year as a personal tutor. I have supervised over 45 Masters and PhD students for Research Projects until January 2017. On an average, my students obtained 72 percent (%) marks in assessments and dissertations.

I have been studying Spanish, French and Italian for many years and have gained numerous qualifications. Living in several European countries has also enabled me to develop my language skills to the extent that I am now confident in my ability to teach these languages to others.

I am currently studying for a TEFL course to update my teaching skills.

Teaching Experience:
I am approaching the end of my first year of language tutoring and have enjoyed the experience. I look forward to continuing my tutoring through UK tutors as well as other bodies. I began my combat training at thirteen at a local boxing club in Llanelli, learning the vital skills and discipline that have kept me working in the fitness and self-defence field for over ten years.

At the age of fifteen I joined the Cobra-Kai Freestyle Kickboxing Federation, and trained religiously under the regime of instructor Lee Martin (4th degree black belt). In 1997 I went on to win the European martial arts title (WUMA Federation), held at Cheltenham. On my return, and after numerous local newspaper photos and write-ups, I received the greatest honour any keen young martial artist dreams of: becoming a fully-fledged black belt.

Teaching Experience:
At the young age of 18, I opened my very own kickboxing club at Llanelli Leisure Centre, for all levels and ages. After showcasing my skills, not only as a martial artist but also a teacher, I received my 2nd degree black belt. Starting with just one weekly ninety-minute class, I now run four classes per week. Over the years I have helped created more than ten black belt students, two welsh champions and one British champion.

In 1997, I ran my first all women's self-defence class, training women of all ages and physical abilities. I continued my classes, eventually including mixed gender and young persons training.

After undergoing a series of courses from Securicare, Frontline, Venue security and BIIAB City and Guilds, I have become a Level 7 Conflict Management Trainer. I have worked alongside various organisations such as the NHS, covering the majority of hospitals and clinics throughout Carmarthenshire.

As well as training, I have since achieved my 4th degree black belt, opened my own one-to-one gym, and become an advanced level 3 personal trainer through Fitness Wales (REPs certified), teaching private lessons of fitness, weight training, martial arts, self-defence, Pilates, and much more.

I am an Economics graduate from Hanover University, Germany and teach part-time in a successful private college in the city of Bath. Since 2004 I have been working as a freelance tutor of Economics, as a translator (from English into German and vice versa), as a journalist and book author. Prior to that I worked as a technical support engineer for four years and as an office manager for six years. I live in Bath, am married and have two children. I love teaching, especially Economics, because it deals with some of the most fundamental problems of our society. To solve them we need to understand Economics.

Since 2004 I have been tutoring AS and A2-level students in small groups and one-to-one, and university preparation courses in classes of up to 15 students. First of all I ascertain any particular areas the student needs help with most urgently. I then review the basics with the student to make sure that these have been well understood. I have 10 successful years experience in UK schools teaching primary Spanish through to GCSE and A Level. I have worked in both the state and independent school sectors. I have a very strong grasp of English, as shown by my first class degree in English language and literature from Oxford University. I also work as a freelance copyeditor and proofreader, often helping writers for whom English is a foreign language. In 2019, I graduated from a CELTA course (Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). After graduating with a master's degree, I decided to stay in the UK for development. I'm a Medical Student at Anglia Ruskin University, I've worked hard to get to the stage I am.
During GCSEs my strongest subjects were Maths and Science. During A levels my strongest my subjects were Maths and Chemistry. I believe I've always found those subjects interesting and simple to understand because of my approach to learning the more complex topics. And this is something I'd like to share as I understand how confusing and difficult it can for students to wrap their head around a subject when there are many other subjects to study for. Through tutoring I'd like to teach students simple approaches to difficult topics !

I have been a cricket coach for juniors ages 4-16 for 4 years.
Through medical school I've been part of societies which involves learning and teaching different complex topics. During all my stages of studying from GCSES and A levels to Medical School I have always studied in groups, learning from and teaching my friends.

Good tutoring doesn't require a specific approach, it depends on the learning pattern of the student, I've always studied in groups I understand some students may pick up certain topics through different explanations and examples to another student. Hi, I'm Alan. I offer Mathematics lessons online and in person in the Newport (South Wales) and surrounding areas.
I am extremely patient, especially with the pupils requiring extra support. I aim to provide all my tutees with the confidence and the understanding which is necessary for success in the subject. I also undertake examination work which I have done for many years. This gives me a greater understanding of the possible areas of weakness by students in the subject and therefore I can guide them accordingly during the lessons.
