I am a mature lady (60yo) with a 1st Class Electrical/Electronic Engineering Degree (B.Sc) and a Postgraduate Management qualification from Cambridge University. My own 'A' Levels were Biology, Maths and Physics with a particular focus on electronics. At University I studied Maths at degree level.

After working as an Engineer I changed career in my late 20s and moved into the world of Therapy and Healing. I trained in hypnotherapy and craniosacral therapy as well as Human Design. I have worked with young people utilising various modalities to help them gain confidence and choose careers/subjects that bring out the best in them. I studied for a time in a Rudolph Steiner environment so I appreciate the value of alternative approaches and Artistic therapies to educating young people. From 2009 to 2012 I worked in an Admin capacity for OFSTED travelling around Schools and Colleges up and down the SW of England. My particular area of responsibility was the safeguarding and protection of children.

In 2011 I attended an Introduction to Autism training with the HANDLE organisation as I increasingly meet young people struggling on the Autism spectrum so this topic is of particular interest to me. I would be able to help refer any child who needed more specialised care. Related to this I have also been studying Human Design which is an invaluable tool for understanding how unique we all are.

Personal Description:
I am a recent mature Law graduate, with up to date knowledge of law and the legal system.
Including, employment, property, contract, tort and criminal law etc. I am capable of achieving
personal objectives, as demonstrated by the successful completion of my Open University honours
degree alongside my full-time, voluntary and temporary work. I am goal orientated, with a clear and
concise vision of future objectives. I am now keen to find a challenging position that offers long
term potential.

Teaching Experience:
Responsible for A level AS and degree level Law tutoring client's on a software platform. This,
involves assisting in note taking, referencing, problem questions, essay planning and writing. Law
subjects, include Tort, Criminal, Contract, Equity and Trusts, Constitutional and land and property
law.

I have experience of providing guidance and support to students that have special needs in a college
environment to improve their education and learning so that they can move forward. That is, assisting
them with; research skills, English, Maths, note taking, cooking, hygiene, information technology.

My background includes working with diverse individuals to help them overcome personal challenges, build confidence, and achieve their goals. In my role as an alternative education tutor, I specialise in Functional Skills English and ICT, focusing on students who thrive outside traditional learning environments. My extensive experience in coaching and therapy allows me to integrate therapeutic techniques into my teaching, providing a unique, holistic approach that supports both academic success and personal growth.
