Personal Description:
I am now a full time tutor after spending two decades teaching Mathematics and Science.
Teaching Experience:
I am a very experienced teacher. I have been the Head of Mathematics at a private school and previously taught in state schools.
Tutoring Approach:
The first three tutoring sessions are quite diagnostic. The aim is not only to find out strengths and weaknesses but also to see how quickly we can cover topics with most of the information retained.
As we cover material at a much faster rate than in normal class lessons.; recaps at speed become more import as lessons develop and confidence improves. The syllabus and past exam papers provide the main framework for most lessons.
Exam technique lessons, examiners mark schemes and revision materials are normally provided.

Personal Description:
I am an experienced tutor with a wide range teaching experience over the last fifteen years, including the following subjects: English Literature, English Language, English as a Second Language, IELTS, Creative Writing, GCSE, A Level, PSHE and Drama. I completed my PGCE with QTS in Secondary English in 2020, working across two schools in Cornwall, before moving to Bristol to teach full time. I have a Master's in Creative Writing at Kingston University and a BA(Hons) in English Literature with Creative writing. I also have a TESOL qualification certified by Trinity College, which is one of the highest acclaimed foreign language qualifications. I am British but I grew up in Hong Kong and Thailand, so I really enjoy working with people from different backgrounds.
Teaching Experience:
I taught years 9 through to 13 at Clifton College for the last five academic years, where I was responsible for multiple GCSE and A Level Groups, seeing them all through successful examination results. I taught Edexcel IGCSE for first language English and Pearson Edexcel A-Level, studying a range of non fiction texts, poems and other literature such as To Kill a Mockingbird, The Merchant of Venice, A View from the Bridge, Jekyll and Hyde, King Lear, The Handmaid's Tale and Frankenstein. I was also responsible for English as a Second Language GCSE groups, using the Cambridge IGCSE exam, as well as teaching IELTS for several years.
I started teaching when I was 18 years old and so have a range of experience in teaching English at all levels and for a range of purposes. I have taught in Thailand and Australia, as well in London, Cornwall and Bristol. I have been a private tutor for almost as many years and I am comfortable with working with all ages and abilities. I have successfully carried students through the 11+ entrance exams for private schools in London.
Tutoring Approach:
I begin tutoring sessions with an informal meeting where we get to know each other. Tutees will complete a language assessment questionnaire which will help me determine what level they are at. By finding out tutee's strengths and weaknesses as well as what they want to achieve, I can create lesson plans beneficial to their learning.
One of my main aims when teaching English is to try and foster a love for reading in my students, so that they can approach language and writing with enthusiasm and confidence. I also try to encourage creativity at every opportunity and will often include exercises for students to produce their own pieces of creative writing, so they can implement the techniques and language they have read in books. This can be an incredible confidence boost for children and adults alike to see that they can produce their own creative and engaging pieces of work.

Personal Description:
I am a qualified language teacher (French and Spanish) who became a professional tutor after the birth of my children.
I am passionate about making French and Spanish accessible and enjoyable to my students whilst giving them the skills which will help them achieve the highest grade at their examinations as well as the confidence to use the language effectively. A lot of my students achieve a higher grade at their examinations than the grade they were predicted.
I am a native French speaker and I tutor students of all ages, from students working towards their GCSE or A level examinations to undergraduates and adults wishing to learn French or Spanish from scratch or improve their existing competence in order to travel or have a more complete experience if they visit or live in France or Spain.
Teaching Experience:
Since obtaining my PGCE, I have taught languages in secondary schools for 13 years; French to A level and Spanish to GCSE.
I am an examiner for one of the country's leading examination boards and mark examination papers. In the summer I conduct speaking tests in schools for the A level examinations. This experience is invaluable when teaching GCSE or A level students.
I also tutor adults who have no previous knowledge of a language and want to learn French/Spanish for pleasure or to communicate more effectively on holiday. I also tutor adult students who are already very competent but who want to take their knowledge to a higher level.
I also tutor language undergraduates and students who need support or wish to improve their grades at the GCSE, A level and DELF examinations.
I started tutoring online two years ago and am teaching students anywhere in Great Britain but also abroad. I find on-line teaching a very effective way of teaching as I can share documents, play games, consolidate grammar using Powerpoints and videos, which enhances the way I teach.
Tutoring Approach:
I am friendly, very approachable, patient and have a good sense of humour and tailor my lessons to individual needs.
My aim is to build confidence in speaking and using languages by using a variety of materials and making learning enjoyable and rewarding whilst focussing on accuracy.
I make topic mats which help my students see what they need to know at one glance, or almost!
I systematically revise tenses with exam students and consolidate grammatical structures with Powerpoints and games, when appropriate

Personal Description:
I am a Chemistry teacher also an approved examiner for AQA, Edexcel and OCR. I have over 7 years of teaching experience in two of the best schools in the country over the private and state sector and also an experienced tutor over the past 15 years.
I do teaching and mentoring because I enjoy it the most. With an enthusiastic and energetic approach and by creating an interactive atmosphere, I encourage the students to work through the problems and understand the underlying scientific and mathematical principles. I believe it is important to push students and encourage them to do the best they can it evidently has worked in my experience with tutoring.
Teaching Experience:
I am a teacher of Chemistry and have had teaching experience over 15 years.
I have had a significant amount of tutoring experience during my time whilst studying. I found these sessions very useful in honing my teaching abilities and it gave me a good idea in regards to dealing with students who are at different academic levels and of varying personalities.
Tutoring Approach:
I promote a highly interactive paradigm to my teaching such that our sessions are more of an educated conversation as opposed to a lecture. In my opinion this promotes greater understanding within the pupil and allows for their interest to be maintained for a longer period of time through the session.
The way I teach will primarily depend on the student that I am with and the pace will of course vary accordingly. At the start of our teaching arrangement I will first of all attempt to gauge exactly what my student wants from our sessions and at what academic level they wish to ascend to, once that is understood I will plan our sessions appropriately to suit their needs. Furthermore at the start of each session I, with input from the student, will form a list of learning objectives for the session and will aim to achieve all of them effectively. This provides us with a list of topics covered and a good way to appraise what we have learnt.

Teaching Experience:

Personal Description:
I am an experienced Law Lecturer with 10 years' experience in teaching undergraduate and post-graduate law programs in leading UK Law departments. I have a PhD in law, with a specialism in International Financial Law, and hold a Masters degree (Distinction) from University College London (UCL).
My current tutoring interests include:
- the English Legal System,
- Constitutional/Public Law,
- Administrative Law,
- EU Law,
- Criminal Law,
- Contract Law
- Banking Law and Regulation, and
- Regulation of Financial Markets.
- International Commercial Law
- International Sale of Goods Law
- Principles and Policy of Regulation
- International Trade Law
- International Investments Law
I also tutor LLM and PhD students in related areas of law.
My tutoring entails assisting students not only with the content of the course, but also the structure of discussion and argumentation in essays.
Teaching Experience:
I have taught English Legal Systems, UK Public Law/Constitutional and Administrative Law, Contract and Criminal Law since 2014. I have also practiced law for over 6 years, with a strong background in constitutional and human rights litigation, and also corporate and commercial law.
Tutoring Approach:
I have tutored students from different top universities across the country, through face-to-face and skype sessions.
My approach entails identifying the student's learning priorities, and also certain learning areas that the tutoring session can strengthen. I use the student's syllabus structure and material to guide the learning session for each specific module.
I have found skype sessions as very productive for both the students and I, as we save on travel time, and have the benefit of a lot of material that we would otherwise be unable to drag around to a neutral meeting place. I find that the students are also more comfortable and in control of their learning, where they are in a familiar environment.

Personal Description:
I am a long-time teacher, lecturer, examiner and professional tutor with a patient and supportive approach.
I passed my PhD in English at the University of Leicester. I also hold a Masters with Distinction from Oxford Brookes University and a First Class undergraduate degree from Loughborough University.
Teaching Experience:
I have successfully taught at over ten schools, four major universities and tutored several hundred private students.
In addition to weekly supplementary tutoring, I also offer a homeschool tutoring programme and am happy to take full responsibility for the independent delivery of the curriculum.
I hold qualifications in educational psychology and in supporting adult dyslexia.
At home, I live in Oxfordshire with my wife Kate and two stepsons. I enjoy music festivals, running and long walks with our dog Maple.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach is friendly, gentle and supportive but extremely professional. I aim to combine creative and emotionally engaging teaching with expert subject knowledge.
At the heart of my tutoring is how important it is that a student believes in their own ability to learn and to progress. If there is one word I hear my students kindly use to describe my qualities it would be 'patience'. Yet I never feel like my patience is tested - I love the challenge of finding new, innovative ways to help them understand their subject.

Tutoring Approach:
About Language Teaching
I believe that teaching is an art. Everyone has the potential to learn, regardless of mental hindrances. In my view, the role of a teacher is to understand both the limitations and strengths of each pupil and tailor a unique course accordingly.
The most essential requirement for a pupil is passion and the willingness to learn; the rest is the teacher's responsibility.
I started teaching Spanish as a means of earning a living when I first came to the UK in 1973. Ever since then, it has always been a source of income. I am a professional painter, but selling paintings is not a reliable form of income. I have excellent references from former students that I can provide on request.

Personal Description:
Hi, I'm Aysha - a Law graduate with an LLB (Hons), a masters graduate, and a Trainee Sheriff Officer. My journey through Scots law has been both academic and hands-on, giving me a solid foundation in legal theory and a real-world understanding of how the law works in practice. I started tutoring because I know first-hand how challenging law can be-and how much of a difference the right support can make. During my studies, I often found myself helping classmates understand tricky concepts or structure their arguments more clearly, and I realised how much I enjoy breaking down complex ideas and helping others feel more confident in their abilities. I believe law should be accessible, not overwhelming. My goal is to create a supportive, engaging space where students can ask questions freely, develop their legal thinking, and build the skills they need to succeed-whether that's acing exams, writing stronger essays, or preparing for a future legal career. Teaching isn't just something I do alongside work and study-it's something I genuinely care about. I want to see students thrive, not just get by.
Teaching Experience:
I'm a Law graduate with an LLB (Hons) and a Master's degree in Law. Alongside my academic background, I currently work as a Trainee Sheriff Officer, giving me valuable insight into the practical workings of the Scottish legal system. I offer tailored, one-to-one tutoring for undergraduate Scots Law students and those preparing for further legal training. Whether you're struggling with core subjects like Contract, Delict, Property, or Criminal Law, or need help refining your essay technique, structuring problem questions, or building confidence for exams-I'm here to support your success. What I Offer: • One-to-one tutoring tailored to your course and learning style • Clear explanations of complex legal principles • Guidance on legal writing, problem questions, and case analysis • Support with revision strategies and exam technique • Friendly, patient, and professional approach As someone who is actively working in the legal field while continuing my own studies, I understand the challenges law students face and bring both academic insight and practical experience to every session. My goal is to help you feel confident, capable, and ready to succeed in your legal journey.
Tutoring Approach:
I offer one-to-one tutoring for undergraduate Scots Law students and those preparing for further legal training. Whether you need support with core subjects like Contract, Delict, Property, or Criminal Law, or help refining your essay writing, problem question techniques, or exam confidence, I am here to guide you.

• A friendly, patient, and professional approach
By combining academic knowledge with practical legal experience, I understand the challenges law students face. My goal is to help you feel confident, capable, and fully prepared to succeed in your legal studies and future career.
