I am a passionate and dedicated tutor, with a wealth of experience in both tutoring and teaching in schools, after having trained as a primary school teacher. Tutoring Approach:
Parents generally find that I am a very calm and pacient tutor; I like to work at the pupil's pace and provide lots of reward, especially for the younger children (like stickers and prizes). If I find that the student needs some more help outside of my paid hourly time, I give extra time, to ensure that they have learnt the skills to the highest standard possible.

I have a lesson plan ready prior to the session, but am generally flexible in my approach to the content I teach; sometimes, the lesson focuses on helping the child with their homework or reviewing a test paper from school. To ensure learning is as enjoyable and interactive as possible, I have whiteboards that children use to brainstorm ideas or sometimes, for instance, I encourage them to use coloured card to create their own writing checklists.

As I am writing my own book based on my school, teaching experiences, my tutoring skills are derived from the wealth of experience I gained from training courses and teaching within schools.

I have an upper second class degree in Biology from the University of Manchester. I also have experience working in both secondary schools and higher education. I am currently studying for a Masters in Public Health at the University of Warwick.

In my spare time I enjoy playing the piano, swimming and yoga.

Teaching Experience:
I spent two years working as a Graduate science Coach at Blue Coat Academy in Walsall. I taught Science to small groups of KS3 and GCSE students and had a year 11 tutor group.

In January 2016 I began working for the Open University as an Associate Lecturer. Initially I taught on SDK100 Science and Health which is a 60 credit level 1 comprising nine key topics in Health Sciences.

Biology is one of my favourite subjects. I used to teach Zoology and Botany to undergraduates in India. I have very good communication skills. I am an experienced tutor who has been tutoring for the last 25 years. I teach from KS3 to A levels, Maths, Chemistry and Physics.
I started my career as a Chemical Engineer and completed my PhD in that subject.
In Industry I have worked on Polymers, Pharmaceuticals and ceramics. I have designed towers using principles of Maths and Science and have been able to work out, how long it will take a ceramic to reach a temperature inside a furnace.
I have also worked on Pharmaceuticals and in particular enzymatic reactors and their Mathematical modelling. I also carried out calculation on diffusion through membranes.

I have been teaching for some 25 years on a one to one basis and to groups. All my students end up in getting admission to a University of their choice and a course to their liking. At the moment I am doing online tutoring. Online tutoring has many benefits which includes cost and the comfort of learning in familiar surroundings. . Hey I'm Abdul. I'm currently studying Computer Science at the University of Leeds. I passed my 11+ and attended Wilson's School and I absolutely loved my time there. When studying for my GCSE's, I struggled quite a lot with Chemistry and so I decided to get a tutor. After a few months of receiving tuition, there was a noticeable improvement in my grades and I achieved a grade 9 in Chemistry GCSE and later on studied it for A-level and achieved a grade A. I was very thankful to my tutors and teachers as I could not have done well in my studies without them.

During my time at sixth form, I volunteered to tutor GCSE students in my school. I later on taught some students outside of school for 1 year and it allowed me to build a long term relationship with my students and be able to actually see improvements in their grades and confidence in that subject. This was an extremely rewarding feeling for me and is what motivates me as a tutor.

In my free time, I like to play badminton and spend time with friends and family.
