I'm using this to revise from after our teacher told us that all of the notes she gets come from this book. I recommend it to anyone doing the GCSE course, as it helps me a lot.Recommended.

Hi. I bought this book for my sons GCSE exam, via an Amazon seller. The book arrived as promised, except it was not brand new as stated, also the MIDDLE PAGES were MISSING. I then had to scour my local book stores for another book. This was not Amazons fault, but the sellers. I contacted the seller, I got a refund for the cost of the book, not the postage. Having purchased the new book my son was able to complete his revision. Time will tell if it was worth it.

This book has it all - the notes for every poem contain clear, detailed annotations, a discussion of meaning, structure, language and themes, and examples of personal responses to the poem, while in the general section suggestions are offered for comparing the poems according to various themes or linguistic features, and example essays for different topics are included. This book is of great help in the GCSE English classroom, I'd recommend it to all teachers and students. I'm an NQT and it has helped me immensely with structuring lessons and making sure I cover all aspects of the poems.
