This book is excellent for an overview of writing in preparation for testing or for a child that finds writing difficult.

Great for a little recap tool or when you are starting out in teaching. For each area of literacy it covers the main points you need to teach/include in that unit.

a small gem of a resource.....various genre of text displayed, giving specific features.......includes structure of the type of text - helpful for childrens planning....enough child-friendly explanations and tips, that it can be given to group of children to support their learning without needing teacher intervention.

Love this book but wish it was large size like the other cpg books.

A really helpful and handy guide. This book brings together all the rules and helpful hints for every genre of writing. It also gives examples of each genre. The only drawback is there is an error in the formal letters genre.
