Book Description

This book has all the punctuation practice that pupils aged 7-11 will need to get to Level 5 in Punctuation for KS2 English, and follows on from CGP’s Level 4 Punctuation book (9781841461533). It contains lots of exercises to practise using capital letters, full stops, commas, speech marks and apostrophes, as well as question and exclamation marks. There’s even space for setting individual targets. It’s ideal for checking progress and preparing for the KS2 end-of-year tests.

CGP books always help. Each double page has one page of 23 incorrect sentences and the opposite page to rewrite them with the relevant punctuation. Basic stuff but helpful for practice. We bought books 1, 2, and 3, but just one would have been fine as they all have the same layout and I just wanted my Y5 son to brush up a bit and pay more attention to his punctuation.

I bought this book for my son to do very well. We are going to study and do this book next academic year as he is currently in year 3 in his primary school.

Very helpful for children struggling a little with punctuation. Helpful for parents to see the skill level required at ks2.

Very useful. We are going through it now. Helps to practice more intensely in each area. Would help if the answers were included (for parents to check!)

Good booklet if you want to help your child get some practice on the new SPAG tests as old papers aren't yet available.
