Personal Description:

Music

I specialize in composition, theory, harmony, songwriting and piano/keyboard skills. Will offer constructive feedback on how to develop your own compositional voice/songwriting style, how to structure your music, present it on a score and record it. Will also teach music history, ethnomusicology, film and popular music, Sibelius/Logic (basic home studio/music technology). Would suit people pursuing music as a hobby or preparing for formal qualifications

French

I will teach written or spoken French up to University level. Would suit those looking to improve their conversational French or students needing help with academic work.



Teaching Experience:

Music Qualications/Experience: -
- BA 1st class honours in Music with French from Royal Holloway, University of London 2006
- ABRSM Grade 8 piano 1999
- MA Music Production from Leeds College of Music (pending completion this year)
- Gig regularly in a function band across the North.

French Qualications/Experience
- BA 1st class honours in French
- Taught English in the French Caribbean for a year, focusing on oral language.
- Also worked as a bilingual call handler in Lyon for 10 months and have French heritage



Tutoring Approach:

Can be tailored to your requirements. I have an excellent music set-up in my city centre flat, or will teach elsewhere.
