Personal Description:
I have a TEFL diploma (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), a degree in modern languages (French and Italian) and a PGCE. I have been teaching languages for more than 25 years. I have worked abroad teaching English and I also taught modern languages in a local secondary school. Since 2008 I have been teaching EFL at the local college and university and tutoring individual students. I also work as an examiner for Cambridge exams.
Teaching Experience:
For the past five years I have been teaching English at the local college to foreign students preparing for IELTS and Cambridge exams (CAE and FCE). I also teach academic English to students who are preparing to enter university. I have taught both French and Italian to GCSE level in the past. Currently I am doing private tuition in EFL and French/Italian to a variety of students who wish to study for general or exam purposes.
Tutoring Approach:
I employ an interactive approach to language learning using communicative activities to make vocabulary and grammar memorable. I have a lot of experience in preparing students for exams and I adapt lessons to suit learners needs whether it is for academic or general purposes
