Personal Description:

I am an Aussie born high school teacher with a passion for life and learning. I'm an avid reader, eager traveller and mad-keen Latin dancer! When I am not moulding the minds of the future, I write childrens' books, practise yoga, study psychology and dream of world domination! I look forward to meeting you.



Teaching Experience:

I have six years full time teaching experience in a range of public and private schools in Australia and the UK. I have two years experience as a tutor. My specialist subject areas are English and Drama but I also have experience teaching Religious Studies, History and Philosophy for students from year 1 to A-Level.



Tutoring Approach:

I believe school should be interesting, stimulating and relevant. I take a holistic approach to tutoring and work with each student to evaluate their strengths and weaknesses, set goals and develop a plan of action for improvement that covers just their subject or all areas of their life. I expect my students to see tutoring sessions as part of an overall study plan. I will help directly with classwork, homework or assignments during sessions, but will also encourage students to plan their own revision and will help them to create a plan and stick to it. I am always available to my students for email consultation in between tutoring sessions.
