Personal Description:

I offer tuition in Maths, Physics and Chemistry at all levels up to A-level or IB, also Biology up to GCSE. I work full time as a private tutor; this means I am able to ensure I keep up to date with the frequent changes in the syllabus and the requirements of the different exam boards. I normally offer tuition in the student's home and the fees include reasonable travel. I have a degree and a doctorate in Materials Science, both from Oxford University.



Teaching Experience:

I have been working as a private tutor for nine years. I was previously a university lecturer in Materials Engineering. I have also taught Maths at Bexley College, and recently taught a series of GCSE Maths booster classes at a local secondary school, which were very well received.



Tutoring Approach:

I believe it is most important to encourage students and boost their confidence in the subjects being studied. Parents often comment on how much more confident the students feel after a series of lessons. I focus on the material required to pass the exams and I have many past papers for all examination boards, which I use to help the students to gain experience in answering exam questions. The students enjoy my style of tutoring and I receive many personal recommendations.
