Information About Michele:

Personal Description:

Hello, my name is Michele and I am 21 years old and am currently in my 3rd year of study at Demontfort University, studying for a BSc in Speech and Language Therapy. I am originally from Norwich in Norfolk, and I spend time between Norwich and Great Yarmouth when I am home during vacation. I am interested in doing some tutoring to supplement my studies and I could possibly fit sessions in during term time but more likely during Christmas, Easter and over the summer months. Due to my limited time periods at home I am willing to provide intensive tutoring for exams and alike if required, or just aid individuals who need to catch up during the holidays.
I am friendly, patient and open minded and enjoy a challenge, which I think are important qualities for a tutor.

Teaching Experience:

As part of my university course I have completed series of work experience at a nursery and primary school.
During the summer months I also work as a nursery assistant with children between the ages of 2-8 years old at a private nursery.

Tutoring Approach:

As I am still in education myself, I understand how difficult and frustrating certain subjects can be if there is no one around to explain things to you in the way that you learn best. That is why I feel that it is important to tutor using a range of different techniques to help tap into the way in which an individual learns and works best. This can be from quizzes to games, diagrams to repetition. I believe in engaging with your learnign and breaking things down into managable pieces. This I feel results in a more permenant form of learning that can then be transfered later in life and techniques that you can take with you and use in the future.
