Personal Description:

I work and relate well to children and adults with a wide range of abilities and needs. I am an enthusiastic person who believes that every student has a voice that should be listened to. I also work as a writer and encourage creativity in my students. I am outgoing, confident and professional. I returned to education later on in life and believe that it is never too late to learn new things or discover new talents within oneself.



Teaching Experience:

I have worked as a tutor in the subjects of English Literature, English Studies, Creative Writing and Drama for 2 years. I have a proven track record of improving students grades and I have experience of working with students up to degree level.



Tutoring Approach:

I try to make my classes as fun as possible. I encourage learning using tools such as simple mind maps and different revision techniques. I have found that not only do my students grades improve but so does their essay writing and analytical skills. I always arrive at a tutoring class on time and I come prepared with work. I follow set texts that a student is working on at school/college/university to ensure that the knowledge and skills they gain from my teaching methods can be used to improve grades at their institution.
