Personal Description:

I'd like to be considered for the post of teaching Chinese. I come from Hebei Province of China, which is next to Beijing, the capital of China. I am a confident mandarin Chinese speaker. I had my BA in China, majoring in English and also striving for a good level of mandarin Chinese as required by the university. In September 2007, I came to the University of Essex to have my MA in English Language Teaching. Currently I am doing the PhD in ELT.



Teaching Experience:

After finished my BA, I was employed as a full-time teacher in the English department within Hebei Normal University of Science and Technology. This post involves teaching college students in China how to learn English and to prepare for the National College English Exam, so I usually have my lessons carried out bilingually, i.e. both in English and Chinese. In addition, as a Chinese English teacher, I was involved in helping foreign teachers settle their problems where Chinese was required as much as English.
