Information About Emma:


Personal Description:

I am 23 years old and graduated from the University of Cambridge last year, where I studied Natural Sciences for three years and Management Studies for one year. I am a confident and enthusiastic person with a lot of energy to give. I really enjoy tutoring, and have had good results in the past.



Teaching Experience:

At University I was involved in tutoring younger students in various Biology and Mathematics courses. During Sixth Form College, I mentored 11-14 year old students to improve their reading and writing skills.

At University I specialised in Cellular Biology, but due to the nature of the course I also have very good knowledge of Physiology, Behaviour, Biochemistry, Psychology, Chemistry, Statistics and Pure Mathematics.



Tutoring Approach:

I am a friendly and down to earth person with high standards! My approach depends entirely on the student. I take time to understand the students current level of knowledge and strive to find a method which works well for both of us.

I explain difficult topics by breaking them down into simple portions - once these are individually understood, the overall topic becomes much easier to grasp. I can help with homework and other assignments by logically guiding the student through what needs to be covered. I can help with mid-year and end of year exam preparation, where an extra bit of tuition can make all the difference.
