Personal Description:

I am 30 years old and work as a freelance theatre director and solicitor. I worked in the busy commercial litigation department of a city law firm for 6 years from 2001 to 2007 and last year retrained as a theatre director at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. I am keen to continue my interest in law and English Literature alongside my work in the theatre. At the moment I am working in different locations and therefore only available to tutor online.

Teaching Experience:

I am new to tutoring, having previously worked as a lawyer and then retrained as a theatre director. I am looking forward to continuing my interest in the law by tutoring alongside my freelance theatre work, which also builds on the English Degree I took when I first began directing plays in the theatre at university.

Tutoring Approach:

I understand that sometimes school and university classes need supplementing with extra coaching, and am happy to provide help either by email on in person, on specific areas of difficulty or with more general skills. Having trained as a lawyer just 5 years ago and recently having taken Bristol Old Vic's course in theatre directing last year, I have recent experience of being tutored myself and will do my best to make learning as interesting and collaborative as possible.

Qualifications:

• Law: CPE (commendation), LPC (distinction), qualified solicitor, 6 years' experience 2001-2007 in a city law firm specialising in commercial litigation.
• English Literature - 2.1 BA Hons in English Literature, Durham University (1996-1999); Bristol Old Vic Theatre School postgrad diploma in Drama Directing (2007-2008)
• Bristol Old Vic Theatre School Postgraduate Diploma in Drama Directing
