Personal Description:

A dedicated and enthusiastic lecturer with a strong academic background in behavioural science and dental public health. Possesses excellent interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to communicate concisely and professionally at all levels. Able to demonstrate proven research skills with knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Enjoys being part of, as well as leading, a successful and productive team and thrives in highly pressurised and challenging working environments. I am passionate about delivering the highest standards of education at all times.



Teaching Experience:

I have worked for the last 9 years as a lecturer at Birmingham University. Prior to this I worked as a secondary school teacher in Manchester, teaching A level Psychology, Sociology and key stage 3 Maths. I specialised in teaching children with special needs basic English & Maths.



Tutoring Approach:

My teaching style would varied in every situation for example with one-one support this is about being calm and increasing the students confidence in the subject, through positive reinforcement.

Learning should be fun and motivate the student to want to learn more. My styles of teaching at the university is in the form of leatures, small group teaching, problem based learning and encouraging independent learning.
