Personal Description:
I am 23 years old and I graduated from Strathclyde University in 2008. I recently moved from Glasgow to Banbury where I stay with my wonderful wife. My interests include frequenting the gym, watching the football and listening to music.
Teaching Experience:
Informally, I have 4 younger siblings whom I have helped from primary to first year university. Formally, I tutor apprentices at my workplace in college level maths.
Tutoring Approach:
Through my academic life, from high school and throughout university, I have experienced many ways of teaching. I aim to put together the methods I found most helpful, while rejecting those I felt were least effective. My approach is not to supply answers, but to provide the student with a firm grasp of the subject so that the route through any problem can be confidently worked through, and correct answers verified. I believe the quickest and most effective way to learn is to do, so my tutoring is example intensive with my own worked solutions used as a guide.
