Catherine - Wimbledon tutor

Information About Catherine:

Personal Description:

I am young and approachable. I live in South west London and am looking for work teaching music and English privately. I studied music at Cambridge and gained a 2.1 in 2003. I recently gained a distinction in a post graduate diploma in Vocal studies at Trinity College London in which I specialised in creative education. I am happy and willing to teach flute, voice, music theory and general musicianship.

I also have a CELTA and would be very happy to tutor English as a foreign language.

Teaching Experience:

I worked at London's Centre for Young Musicians as a musicianship teacher for four years. I also worked as a flute and vocal teacher at Newham Academy of Music for two years. I have prepared pupils for ABRSM exams and Trinity exams with success. I have taught beginner keyboard to primary school children and have worked on singing and keyboard with children with special needs in South London.

As an English teacher I have worked at both a language school for adults (Excel English in Muswell Hill) and children (Edinburgh school of English young learners course).

Tutoring Approach:

I am able to teach from home or travel. I am happy to teach in groups or individually. I can prepare students for exams or simply teach them for fun. Please do get in contact if you are in need of a music or English teacher.
