Kate - Watford tutor

Information About Kate:

Personal Description:

I am married and now have two boys, one who is two years old and one who is six months. I enjoy being at home with them although am also looking forward to going back to work part time in January when my maternity leave finishes!

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching for ten years and in this time have taught across the Primary curriculum, from Reception to Year 6. When I return to teaching I will have a Year 4 class and am looking forward to progressing their skills. I am Literacy Leader at my school and have been for the last three years. I am an organised and enthusiastic teacher who is patient and innovative and have been praised for my on going success with the children I teach from both staff and parents alike.

Tutoring Approach:

I am reliable and organised and love tutoring! I work sensitively with the child, showing patience and enthusiasm. I am empathic to their needs but will push them on when they are ready. I am a good listener and will try lots of different and fun ways in teaching to help the child grasp the concept. I have a good subject knowledge across the curriculum which is important when working with a child so I know where they have come from and where they need to go. I have worked as a tutor for the past five years and have good references following these lessons.
