Personal Description:
My name is Emily, I am 23 years old. I am a final year university student. I enjoy travelling, sports and languages.
Teaching Experience:
I have 6 months teaching experience at a language school near Reading. I was working with teenagers of all nationalities. I have worked with small groups of 1 or 2 students as well as larger classes of 8 students.
I have experience tutoring for the IELTS examination and have also accompanied my students to the examination centre.
Tutoring Approach:
Having lived abroad myself I am aware of the challenges and difficulties learners face. I understand that being comfortable with the language is essential to a good experience in a foreign country. As a tutor I am able to quickly identify a learners needs and become very flexible in my approach to teaching depending on a learners difficulties and learning styles.
I believe that it is important to use a range of materials from text books, films, newspapers and cater to the interests of a student.
