Information About Jennifer:
Personal Description:
I am a graduate medical student in Newcastle with a BA in Maths and Philosophy from Oxford. I can teach both these subjects. I also teach Physics up to A-Level and help applicants prepare for entrance to graduate medicine, including for the GAMSAT.
Teaching Experience:
I have been coaching people through school exams since I was doing them myself. I have tutored people both formally and informally for a variety of exams, and I currently work as a tutor in Newcastle.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe that tutoring is special because each individual concept can be explained until it is grasped by the individual. In maths and physics, practice is very important - but if consistent errors are not identified, it can be pointless. In a one-on-one settings it is possible to tackle individual issues. I like to try and make tutoring fun, but I believe that it is more important to finally grasp elusive concepts - something which everyone finds rewarding.
