Information About Nadia:


Personal Description:

I am an AHRC-funded, third year PhD student at the University of London. I work on British perceptions of Mesopotamia and Iraq in the early-twentieth century. I have degrees in English literature and history and experience working with students of all abilities, from Key stage 3 up to postgraduate study. I am currently employed as a seminar leader at Queen Mary, University of London and teach undergraduate English literature students there.



Teaching Experience:

Seminar leader at QMUL academic year 2007-8
Private tuition postgraduate student in English Literature
Student Associate Scheme- 15 week course at the Institute of Education for those considering secondary school teaching.
Experience teaching and tutoring secondary-school pupils at Beaconsfield High School, a grammar school for Girls.



Tutoring Approach:

I think students learn best in a comfortable environment where they feel that it's alright to make mistakes and learn from them.
