Information About Gavin:


Personal Description:

I trained as a Microbiologist and gained my BSc (Hons), I also have a post graduate diploma in Microbiology and Biotechnology. I then trained to be a secondary school science teacher and I gained my PGCE.



Teaching Experience:

I spent 2 years teaching in the Phoenix School in Dawley, Telford, Shropshire. I ran the BA CREST award scheme, which involved after school and lunch time activities and school trips.



Tutoring Approach:

I enjoy tutoring as I often performed this role during voluntary revision sessions for my previous KS3 and KS4 classes. I much prefer this way of teaching as there are usually smaller class sizes, which means I can spend more time with each student. This helped to improved their grades.
