Personal Description:

I have recently completed a degree in History, at Swansea University with a high 2:1. However, at the beginning of my degree i studied media studies. I studied media and communication studies, History, english lit/lang and Sociology for my A levels. I recieved high marks in all of them, ranging from A's to B's and one C.
At the moment I am taking a year of studying in order to save up money for travelling. However, next year i aim to further my education by studying philosophy in Cardiff University.
I am a keen book worm and even when not studying I love rto read a broad spectrum of subjects. Currently i am extremely interested in any book concerning anthropology and the story of how life on this planet began.
After my studies i am considering teaching as a career so any work tutoring will be an asset to me as i am keen to help otehrs and share my knowledge and experience.

Teaching Experience:

I am currently assisting my younger sister through her history gcse. I also have another sister who i am assisting through her Sociology and Media Studies A levels. Both seem to be doing really well and thier grades are improving.
I have tutored many friends and family to use a computer from complete beginner to compentent independent user.

Tutoring Approach:

I have learned from being a student myself that the key to learning is discussion. By discussion i do not just mean explaining the subject but becomming involved in heated debates. For me tjis did not just make learning fun, but it also helped me develope a greater knowledge of how to argue a subject from each side, which is a key component in subjects such as English and History. Open debates also helped me gain confidence in myself and the issues addressing, therefore i believe this to be an vital method of tutoring.
I am a very patient and fun person, therefore once i know what is needed to be taught i will teach in the way i am confident will be suitable.
