Personal Description:

I am a PhD student doing research on Iranian Cinema. I have studied Film Studies in both undergraduate and graduate level and wish to share this knowledge with others. I enjoy explaining theories and ideas in simple terms and this has been my writing style throughout my academic studies. I am looking forward to an academic career focusing on teaching and lecturing. I am a native Greek speaker and could also teach my language to those who are interested. I am very friendly, encouraging and supportive, sensitive to people's emotions, perceptive of how others feel.
My education has given me a valid foundation from which I can proceed in offering to others what I have learnt and what I have found out myself, giving them space and time to also discover more.

Teaching Experience:

Unfortunately I do not have any teaching experience.

Tutoring Approach:

Although I have got no experience I could use the experience I gained from the others that taught me. What I enjoyed from my own tutors such as helping me to understand, to discover things my self and to express myself freely-independence and support- is something I wish to keep when teaching others. Nevertheless what I disliked, such as being overly critical over one's mistakes or impatient when one does not learn or understand on the pace he/she is expected, is something that I will avoid. I believe in listening to others before doing the talking and sometimes let the others lead the conversation in order to see what they are interested in and what they can learn from me.
