Personal Description:

My name is Helen Bray and i live in Bristol. I have a degree in Italian and the PGCE. My specialism is foreign languages, which I am promoting in a variety of primary schools in and around Bristol.
I have extensive experience teaching within the field of EFL having worked both in this country and abroad.



Teaching Experience:

Tutoring Approach:

My belief is that learning should be a fun and an enjoyable experience. My role as a tutor is to provide a supportive and inspiring environment where pupils can develop and sustain a positive attitude to learning.
My teaching philosophy is that thinking and doing are closely related and that pupils need to be given the opportunity to experiment and think for themselves. I strive to be creative in all aspects of planning lessons to inspire and challenge pupils.

Qualifications:

  • PGCE Primary with Modern Foreign Languages, Christ Church University, Canterbury.
  • BA Combined Honours Italian and Sociology at Exeter University, Exeter/ one year at Bologna University, Italy.2:2
  • TEFL Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
