Personal Description:

Hi, I am a Marketing and Supply Chain & Logistics specialist with 5 years of industrial experience. In completing my CIM professional, I realised that the teaching system by CIM study centres were inadequate in order to ensure student success, especially when they cramp syllabus into block courses. As a result, many had to search for independent tutors for extra support. With a passing rate of 50% average on most of the modules, many had also failed. Having experienced this first hand, I aspire to help fellow CIM and other marketing students to make their money's worth in succeeding in the subject I passionately teach.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught CIM students on all levels: Professional Certificate, Professional Diploma and Post Graduate Diploma.

I have also tutored BA and MA level university students and help them preparing marketing plans and marketing communication plans for their assignments.

But mostly, my tutees are those undertaking marketing courses online and self study.

Usually, I will offer a discounted rate for the first session and if the tutees are happy and wish to continue with follow up sessions, normal rate will then apply.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring in my sessions is very flexible and depend entirely on the tutee's requirements. Depending on their needs and level, I may focus on syllabus coverage, exam techniques or coursework assistance.

Usually I tend to focus more on exam techniques and coursework assistance as syllabus are typically covered in their classrooms.

In exam techniques, my approach will be on providing the answer frameworks, selection of correct strategic models and providing examples of theoretical implementation. At this level, examiners typically expect students to be able to demonstrate the ability to apply theoretical knowledge on real life examples. Thus, my sessions will make sure that students will have the ability to attempt their answers in a strategic and operational context.

Mock questions will be provided and exam room strategy will also be discussed in my sessions.

• Masters (MA) International Supply Chain & Logistics Management
• The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) - Cert, Dip and PG Dip
