Personal Description:

As I came back to education later in life I have recent experience of education as a parent, a student and as a teacher. I believe this gives me empathy with my students.

Teaching Experience:

I have worked in the secondary sector for the past eight years in four different school. Currently I teach Key Stage 3, 4, and 5. I teach both Language and literature in Key Stage 3 and 4 and literature in Key sage 5.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that teaching should be designed to reflect the students individual preferred learning style. As confidence in essential to success I nurture self confidence in all my students.

Qualifications:

• 1st Class Degree in English from Northumbria University.
• MA in 17th Century Studies from Durham
• PGCE From Durham
