Personal Description:
I'm a 25 year old female tutor located in Gateshead, but willing to travel throughout the Newcastle/Gateshead area.
I have a friendly, patient and approachable manner and take a fun attitude to learning.
I have a degree in English Literature and Spanish.
I have a real passion for my subjects, and I believe this comes across in my teaching.
Teaching Experience:
I am currently working full-time as a Skills for Life Tutor for adults in Numeracy, Literacy and English as a foreign language. In the past I have taught in both primary and secondary schools in Africa teaching English and maths.
Tutoring Approach:
I am of the opinion that learning needs to be fun and varied in order to keep the student interested and engaged. For this reason, I like to incorporate many different techniques in to my teaching, such as games and role plays, as well as more traditional methods. In my experience, I have found that a learner who enjoys a subject will have much greater success. I try to tailor my teaching to the individual learner, as I do not support a "one size fits all" attitude.
