Personal Description:
I am married with two young children and choose to tutor some evenings to supplement my income and because I enjoy one to one with students. I have a part time teaching job.
Teaching Experience:
I have 15 years teaching experience in schools and colleges of further education. I have 4 years tutoring experience. I have taught all ages of students up to HND level and have worked overseas and in the UK.
Tutoring Approach:
I am patient, understanding and focused on the task and the students needs. Alot of students that come to me need firstly to feel more confident tackling mathematics. I am skilled at assessing where the student is at and what their needs are and the pace they want to work at.I have counselling experience also, which helps me to build a rapport with students. Students feel comfortable with me. I believe the key to learning mathematics is having the confidence to tackle problems, coupled with technical ability. Therefore my approach is positive and student centred.
