Personal Description:
I am Kevin Clark. 33 years old. I have an Honors degree in Biochemistry (University of Sussex)and have been teaching for approximately 8 years. Before teaching i worked in a hospital pathology department as part of the NHS. I am currently studying for a PGCE qualification (University of Brighton) and an MSc in Science communication (Open University).
Teaching Experience:
I am currently the Access to Higher Education Science Co-ordinator at Sussex Downs College in Eastbourne. My job involves taking adults with no formal qualifications and preparing them for entry into science degree courses at university. I have taught GCSE and advanced level science courses, on a one to one basis, in the past for a number of private colleges with very good success.
Tutoring Approach:
In order to be successful i think tutoring needs to provide interesting practical experiences. I teach science and believe that science learning benefits from practical hands on experiences. It is important for the learner to have the opportunity to explore the theory.
