Information About Andy:

Personal Description:

I'm an Associate of the Higher Education Academy and a Fellow of the Institute for Learning. I work as an A-level tutor, examiner and adviser to schools. I have a PhD in Biochemistry and have also published several scientific research papers.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching and tutoring chemistry for 12 years. I specialise in A-level and work as an examiner and adviser to schools. I have also been teaching online for 6 years using EvoTuition and have new digital resources for the 2019 exams. I previously taught at Durham University and received the Durham University Teaching and Learning Award.

Over the years I have tutored hundreds of A-level chemistry students. My lessons are based around developing exam technique as well as improving understanding. I recently produced a full set of new teaching resources and practise questions for the new specifications, which I share with all my students (the new specifications started in September 2015).

I offer all students a free trial lesson so they can experience my teaching style before deciding if they wish to continue with tuition. To arrange a free trial lesson, just send me a message.

Tutoring Approach:

My tuition is based around developing exam technique as well as improving understanding. I am happy to offer a free 30 minute trial lesson and answer any questions.
