Personal Description:
I'm an American who has been teaching English and ESL in Europe since 2001. I'm also a freelance writer and editor and am currently working on a novel.
Teaching Experience:
Tutoring and teaching at universities and schools in Seattle and San Francisco from 1996-2001. Tutoring and teaching at schools in Prague, Lisbon, Ljubljana and Lugano from 2001-2007. Currently tutoring for Standard Grade, Int 2, Highers and ESL examinations in Inverness.
Tutoring Approach:
Sometimes students fall between the cracks in the traditional classroom, and as a tutor it is my job to ensure I am tailoring each session to his or her own learning styles. I expect hard work, and in return will strive for encouraging, interesting lessons that help buttress the student's classroom experience. I am keen to be in contact with the student's teacher and parents to ensure we're working together to help the student to succeed.
