Personal Description:

I am a native Chinese speaker from the north of China, the origin of the Mandarin dialect of Chinese. I speak standard Mandarin with no regional accent. I was trained in Chinese language and education in China and I taught Chinese and English as second languages for several years before coming to the UK. I have been based in Cambridge for over a year where I am a full-time Chinese teacher and have taught many students of different ages and levels. The best thing about my classes is that although I am a very demanding teacher I also make learning languages fun!

Tutoring Approach:

I make individual plans for each student according to their abilities and interests, so I have personal files for each student from the beginning of their classes to the end. I make my classes very interesting and exciting because I think interest is the most important key to studying a language. To do this I find topical materials that my students will find interesting and adapt them for teaching purposes. Doing this also allows my students to get a good understanding of Chinese culture.
