Personal Description:

I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with over 2 years teaching experience. I now tutor on a one-to-one or small group basis. I am available most days and evenings during the week.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching at a junior school for the past two years. Before this I studied at University for a BA (Hons) Professional Studies in Primary Education with ICT, a three year course, which I completed in July 2006. The course had an emphasis on teaching children between the ages of 5 - 11 years of age, and my subject specialism was ICT. I also have taken and passed the QTS skills tests in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT.

Tutoring Approach:

I tailor my teaching to the pupil's needs. I like to find out how confident the pupil is with the subject and where their strengths and weaknesses lie. When this identified I work on these with the pupil during tutorial sessions in a fun and enjoyable way, to support and progress their learning. I use a lot of praise and positive encouragement to boost the child's confidence and willingness to learn.

• 4 A Levels
• 1 AS Level
• 11 GCSEs
