Personal Description:

I am a young fresh minded and energetic teacher of languages, passionate about extending my enjoyment of learning to others. I am innovative in my teaching methods and believe that language learning is a vital tool for all especially in the current ever-changing global climate.

Teaching Experience:

I am an experienced secondary school teacher of languages at a well known girls school in Coventry where I have taught languages throughout the Key Stages. I am currently acting head of Spanish at the school and in my time here I have prepared students from both within the school and external candidates for oral, writing, reading and listening examinations (both foundation and higher tiers at GCSE) up to A2 standard using the AQA syllabus.
I have over seven years experience of private tuition and my tutees are usually exam candidates looking to improve their skills in not only language learning but also exam technique.

Tutoring Approach:

I usually teach from my own home where I will work with you on the skills for improving your language awareness, pronunciation, grammatical knowledge and fluency. I will speak with you in Spanish for the majority of the tutor session and will resort to English for explanations of grammar and homework only. I will leave you to get on with work in between our tutor sessions which I will then look through with you so that we can establish areas for improvement.
As an experienced teacher of Key Stages 4 and 5, I am able to provide you with exam techniques and tips regarding the current GCSE and A Level examinations and can help you prepare for these accordingly.
