Personal Description:
Hi, I recently finished a PhD in Cardiff University in biology and chemistry. I currently work at Techniquest in Cardiff bay, where I give planterium and science theatre shows as well as work with school kids. Although this job is lots of fun I could use some extra income and thought I might be good at tutoring.
Teaching Experience:
I have acted as a teaching assistant in Cardiff University to undergraduate students.
I have been working as a science communicator at Techniquest. In this job I have taught students of all ages in the teaching laboratory and in the planetarium.
Tutoring Approach:
Well, I haven't done any yet. But my approach to science communication has been to make science fun, accessible and easy to understand. Due to my inexperience with private tuition I am happy to negotiate price especially for the first lesson. I would rather run longer sessions (1.5-2hrs) and can teach small groups at a reduced rate for each student.
