Information About Liyar:


Personal Description:

I am a music teacher graduated from Birmingham Conservatoire.(Former student of Dr. Robert Markham, who gained international recognition as the Finalists in the 1994 Tchaikovsky Piano Competition.)

I am classically trained and I hold several ABRSM Piano Diploma Certificates.

I have been actively teaching the piano for 4 years. I currently teach piano in various genres and am experienced in working with very young beginners. If you would like to work towards exams (ABRSM Graded exams) or learn just for fun, get in touch!

Lessons can be provided in English, Mandarin or Cantonese.



Teaching Experience:

Experienced and friendly. I have more than 4 years of teaching experience and over 15 years performing experience. Preparation for ABRSM Grades or Leisure play. All ages and abilities welcome.



Tutoring Approach:

Flexible approach to suit different needs. I incorporate the theory of music into all my lessons. I believe that good technique and musical understanding is important even as a beginner in order to enjoy playing an instrument to the full.
