Information About Claire:
Personal Description:
I have recently graduated from Caledonian University with a Psychology Bsc Honours degree. I am a certified TEFL teacher in teaching English as a foreign language. In the past I have worked as a Classroom assistant working with both primary and secondary children with the GOALS LINKS students programme for one year. At the moment I am working part time as a special needs classroom assistant working with secondary children with autism helping to integrate the into mainstream school in their daily classes.
Teaching Experience:
I have worked for one year as a classroom assistant with GOALS Links project and I am currently working with children with autism in all daily classes involving all secondary subjects. I have worked with children previously as a scout leader for a year and a half. I am also a qualified TEFL teacher.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe that it is important to tailor one's teaching methods to the individual you are teaching. I have experience in creating lessons for the child or adult and know how important it is to gain their attention in order to teach affectively. Moreover, it is important to have a good relationship with the person you are tutoring and it is important that they respect you.
