Personal Description:

I'm a young, professional and ambitious teacher (PhD in Linguistics). Apart from languages, my passions are drama, photography, horses, travel and books. I've lived in the UK for over 7 years, and speak fluent English (with no foreign accent).

Teaching Experience:

I have been a teacher of Polish and English to students at various ages, both in Poland and in the UK. I worked as a university translation teacher, and for over a year and a half (2009-2011) I also worked in corporate environment teaching Business English and Accounting English.

I began teaching English to secondary school pupils at the age of 21. This was followed by working at a language school where I used to teach English to adults and children age 4-7, while still tutoring students age 16-19.
In 2005 I was awarded a 3-year PhD scholarship in the UK, which included teaching Polish at the University of Surrey. I teach Polish to students of various nationalities and ages.

Tutoring Approach:

I have always been a very patient teacher with a head full of ideas. I try to recognise the strongest sides to the students I teach. Each of us has a strong "channel" through which we learn. Some of us prefer writing tasks more than listening exercises. Some prefer visuals and others will be happy to learn a list of vocabulary items by heart. I try to get to know my students and work according to their learning nature.

My tutoring is always full of fun and discovering new areas, but also setting goals and trying to reach them.

Qualifications:
